Clap Clap Clap Your Hands!

Moira can clap her hands! Well, at least she did yesterday with Carter and me. Of course, when her Daddy came home and we tried to show him, she looked at us like we were crazy. I outsmarted her though (this time) and was able to snap a few pictures for proof. (P.S. the dress she is wearing in these photos, MY grandmother made for me when I was this age...yes, yes, it is vintage, an antique!)

Moira continues to amaze us with how fast she is growing. Tomorrow, Sunday the 2nd, she will 8 months already! I can not believe the time has flown by already. She still scoots, but is working at her traditional crawl a little every day. She enjoys rocking on all fours and has even figured how to pull herself to sitting in her crib. Such a strong girl! It is astounding how fast she can travel on her belly. She also enjoys her gustatory adventures and loves food she can feed herself. She is very independent, which is hard for this controlling momma of hers to reconcile.

Carter is doing great as well. He has definitely discovered the magical world of make-believe and can be found entertaining himself for longer periods of time with all of his new "friends". I never know who will join him, or who he will pretend to be. One moment he is a Storm Trooper, the next red Spiderman or black Spiderman, the next Robin Hood. His new favorite is to pretend to be David and throw balls of paper at me (Goliath) with his sling shot (my hair band). There is always an adventure at the Stevenson house!

We are both excited for preschool to start in 6 weeks...but really, who's counting?

Thanks Aunt Keri!

My EXTREMELY talented sister-in-law made Moira some new summer dresses. They are so darling that I had to have Moira give me a fashion show right away. Well, I only got as far as three of the four dresses but we only managed to snap pictures of two before she insisted that she had better things to do: like scoot all over the floor! She definitely has her own agenda! Thanks again Keri, I am truly at a loss for words at your talent. The dresses are a family treasure. You are such a blessing!

I realize half her face is cut off in this one but I wanted you to see the cute ties on the side of the dress.

Trying to escape but we let her...MORE dresses to try on!

She loves the hat - as long as she doesn't have to put it on her head. Too cute!!

That's My Boy!

Carter went to a friend's birthday party last month. The mom wanted to take a picture of all the sweet boys who shared in this fun event. Notice the smiling faces of all the boys. Now, check out the sweet face of Carter... and look down to his hand... throwing gang signs - or is that a gun in his pocket? Nice. I can not stop laughing every time I look at this photo. My little cowboy...or gangster, whatever.

Like Father Like Son

On Father's Day, the boys were enjoying some R & R on the couch and I was able to snap this photo. In case you are trying to read their T-Shirts, Carter's says "Daddy Rocks!" and Jon's says , "My Wife Rocks". I picked up matching shirts for Father's Day. Moira has a Daddy Rocks onesie and mine declares, "My Husband Rocks!". I know. We are cheese.

Our mover and shaker

"Can we talk?"

So happy!
